The year is 2050 and an energy crisis is Earth's main concern. A brilliant scientist in Trinity City develops the
Trinity energy, a new source of energy powerful enough to supply the entire world. The alien empire of the Elda learn of
this energy and plot to seize it by force. They attack Earth's space colony on Jupiter's moon of Io and occupy it.
Meanwhile, the Trinity energy has been applied to three giant robots that combine to form God Σ, a mighty robot led
by its main pilot, martial artist Toushiya Dan. With its mighty sword, it now stands between the peace of Earth and the
power of the Elda forces.



However, later in the series it's revealed that the Elda forces are came from the future, where earthlings, attacks
Elda's home planet. Using advanced time-machine the Eldans tries to seize the secret of Trinity energy to save their
home planet.

Ci troviamo nell’anno 2050. La civiltà umana, grazie ad un periodo di pace condiviso dall’intero
pianeta, si è evoluta enormemente portandosi ad uno stadio tecnologicamente e scientificamente molto avanzato.
L’elevatissimo grado di sovrappopolazione e la conseguente crisi energetica rischiano, però, di far decadere
la situazione di tranquillità. Al fine di evitare che tale ipotesi si tramuti in realtà, il dottor Kazami,
scienziato di fama mondiale e di elevatissime conoscenze, grazie agli studi ed alle ricerche effettuate per anni, scopre
il sistema per ottenere un’energia pulita e durevole nel tempo: la triplice energia. A Trinity City,
un’immensa base artificiale situata in mezzo all’oceano, si stanno svolgendo dei test per valutarne la sua
reale efficacia, impiegandola per alimentare tre robot sperimentali che verranno in seguito utilizzati per delle
esplorazioni spaziali.

Tutto sembra tranquillo, ma una grave e terribile minaccia sta per abbattersi su tutti i terrestri. L’impero di
Helda vuole a tutti i costi impadronirsi della sensazionale scoperta, ed è disposto a tutto pur di ottenerla. A tal
fine gli alieni conquistano Joa (satellite di Giove), distruggendo l’unico avamposto terrestre situatovi e
sterminando le migliaia di famiglie che vi si erano trasferite a causa della sovrappopolazione terrestre, e vi
stabiliscono la loro base. Successivamente decidono di attaccare Trinity city attraverso un violento ed inaspettato
attacco per mezzo di un robot da combattimento (cosmosauro). L’improvvisa invasione costringe il dottor Kazami ad
utilizzare i tre robot sperimentali per la difesa della base. Grazie all’ aiuto del suo assistente,
l’ingegnere Julian Noguchi, e di due valorosi ragazzi appena giunti a Trinity city (Toshiya Dan e Kiraken
scampati al massacro su Joa loro terra nativa) l’attacco viene momentaneamente respinto.
